Regional Anglers of the Year
It could be you!
Each year Carp-Talk runs the Regional Anglers of the Year competition in association with four of the UK’s leading bait and rolling companies. The competition opens on June 1st and runs until the end of May the following year, and sees four anglers crowed Regional Anglers of the Year (one each in the north, south, east and west). The successful four will receive a bait prize courtesy of one of our sponsors to the value of £1000 as well as a trophy.
The rules are quite simple. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one of these fabulous prizes is report your catches to your favourite weekly magazine either via our website, post or through one of our regional contributors columns. It is only open to non-carp-consultants (see catch report form here) and is based on where the fish is caught rather than where the angler lives (e.g. an angler living in Middlesborough who is successful at Bluebell Lakes in Northamptonshire will be entered into the eastern news section).
At the end of the competition, the four anglers who have made a significant news impact in each region will then be selected by Carp-Talk and crowned Regional Angler of the Year North, East, South, or West.
It’s a great way of winning some bait which will last most anglers all of the following season, so get sending in your catches. You never know, it could be you!
