Event support

Carp-Talk has supported various carp matches within the angling industry through the years. These include such establish events as the British Carp Angling Championships, British Carp Cups, UK Carp Cup, and our proudest one which is the British Young Carpers Angling Championships. We have been one of the title sponsors of BYCAC since its conception in 2003. Each year 160 avid young carpers descend on the Linear Fisheries complex to battle it out for one of 32 places in the BYCAC final. The event takes place on one of the Brasenose lakes or Oxlease and takes place during a full week in August. A series of four eliminators run between the Monday and Thursday, with the final lasting for 48 hours from the Friday until the Sunday. The angler with the most overall weight at midday on the Sunday is then crowned the British Young Carpers Champion. It is a great way to make friends and catch carp at the same time, and it is supported by many major brands. It has also proven to be a great platform for young anglers, with the likes of Tom Dove, Jake Wildbore and Brad Greening having been crowned BYCAC Champion before heading for a career working in the carping industry.
